Sony PS4 Future And Past Mistakes
PS4′s future and what measure must be taken or what must SONY learn from this Gen-gaming
There are 4 factors to be concentrated upon…
1-Hardware
2-Online gaming
3-Price
4-Exclusive/Launch Titles
The primary focus of any gaming company should be “Gaming” not “Multimedia Features”…multimedia features are secondary things on a game console…
Now what i would like to do with PS4 if im SONY
1) Hardware (Speculated)
Technical Specs:
CPU: -An 8 core processor running at 3.8 or 4 Ghz
Memory: -Overall total memory on PS4 must be atleast 4GB GDDR5 (Unified shared Memory Architecture)
GPU: -Memory 4GB (UMA)
Storage: -HDD of 1TB capacity must b standard (user upgradable)
Optical Media Drive: -Next Gen Optical Drive (a single disc must be able to hold 500GB worth of data) b/c to BD/DVD/CD/and other formats
Wireless modules:
-Improved Wifi techonology
-Bluetooth 3.0
Online:
-Built in (much improved) ethernet adaptor …. etc etc
2) Online Gaming:
Uptill now SONY is doing fine but not great in online gaming catagory they must upgrade their online services and it must be free of cost
They need to improve alot in this catagory
3) Price:
Price is one of the most important factor in gaming industry….(we can take the example of Wii and XBOX 360 arcade they are selling like hell) SONY must learn their mistakes from this gen…and must concentrate on Pricing
Launch price for PS4 must not be more than $500
4) Exclusive/Launch Titles:
Exclusives games have a very great impact on console sales and a company must concentrate hard on Exclusive games As far as SONY is concerned they have got some of the best software developers in the world…they must release exclusives at proper time…(SEE PS3 suffered alot due to lack of good exclusives in 2006 and 2007)
For PS4 there must be atleast one good exclusive title in each game catagory at launch…
LAUNCH SKU’s
PlayStation 4 (Premium Version) @ $500 (fully backward compatible machine in every aspect hardware/software etc,etc)
PlayStation 4 (Core Version) @ $400 (just a PS4)

uumm maybe the one who posted doesnt kno abt the market ! -__- first of all sony has to release ps4 according to and similar to the specs of other gaming consoles ( obvs a little higher ) cuz thats how it goes and if sony releases a very high end one then theres no point in competition and it will be very expensive , why do u think sonys PS3 didnt have specs like u wanted it to have eh ?? cuz they “ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO ” ?? hah then ur probably wrong cuz they could release much higher end at one time and they will have nuffin to release anythin sooner cuz thats what is called marketing , same thing apple did with its iphone didnt they ? first one the camera sucked and then they slowly kept on upgrading cuz they wanted customer and people had hope and thats called idea and planning and second , u cant just go upto 4 gigs of graphic card cuz then thats not called marketing. They need money and we need GAMING soo yah , thats how they go and wont look out for our specs or maybe our desireable specs cuz anyways alll the games for ps4 are gonna work in it smoothly sooo they arnt really concerned abt that really ! PC will always be ahead of little gaming cosoles cuz hardware updates for it keep coming like after every few months sooo theres no comparison !
