From 01 January 2011 RBI has made mandatory for every transaction made via Credit Card or Debit Card on phone IVR a one time password (OTP) is required.
User must request this password via registered mobile phone or email address before proceeding with the transaction. This is a good move on part of RBI as many fraud transactions are being reported by card user made on IVR Phone where online password was not mandatory before.
