one of my friend also getting the same problem.
the signal strength is ok in my area ,also i have tested my device in various locations n its still pursuing the same problem.
i cannot resume my downloads my downloads with IDM as after every 10 -15 min it is getting dissconnected.
my friend is using huawei modem n he is facing no such problem….

Price : 2500/ INR..
But a user of the modem advised me not to buy it coz it does not support other bsnl sim except embeded sim in it.

I am using MMX310G 3g USB modem since few days……… The thing is that the problem doen’t lies with the data card but the network………………I am having 3g unlimited data plan for Rs 2700 and it woks fine for me.
Speed varies from 180kBps on a bad day to 380kBps on a good day on direct server transfers from good servers while on torrents …… the speed depends upon the torrent ………….. if u have a torrent of an indian movie then u won’t get much speed coz Indians don’t seed much due to upload bottle necking but if u get good number of seeds then u can get 290 kBps on torrents as well.
The average speed that I get is around 250 KBps on http and ftp transfers and 175 KBps on torrents.
I think its the best Internet plan available right now in India.

now coming to the modem part : u could go for any modem ………………… the speed that u would get will depend upon the area where u live in and the kind of service available in ur area.
I would suggest to buy the modem from BSNL itself that they sell at Rs. 2500.
Whatever they might say , their modem too supports all SIM cards and u won’t need to get it cracked
So don’t go for micromax unless u don’t have a choice for a better deal. (like me)
When i went to local BSNL CC they told me that the modem provided by BSNL won’t support other SIM cards but their own phone section people said that it supports all other operator’s SIM cards and hence I wasted 400 Rs. extra for nothing………….. One of my friends bought the modem from BSNL and we put an airtel SIM in it just for trial purposes and voila …………………… it worked just like MMX310G modem…….. So, I feel cheated now………….but whatever micromax gives me good speeds on BSNL 3G network so I’m not that unhappy.
This was my experience …………… now the choice is yours.

u can use 2g sim in 3g data card. speed depends on ur service provider. if u reside in bsnl 3g coverage area,u will get good speed ie.around 500kbps .if not in 3g speed will be less then 60to70kbps.
please read it carefully,these days 3g datacard r very cheap so don’t purchase 2g datacard.u can use 2g sim in 3g datacard,just change apn,speed in 2g sim is around 60t080kbps.speed doesn’t depend on device,except bsnl 2g sim in 3g datacard ,where speed boosts up in 3g network,otherwise it depends on service provider,strength of network,congestion in network.
micromax mmx 310g is a nice usb modem.
On using it with normal bsnl 2g sim.
the browsing is upto 900kbps. and downloading speed upto 35kbps
but its regular use decrease the speed efficiency of modem.
on continously using it some virus also enters the computer and reduce its speed.
u guyz can compare the speed before and after formatting and installing fresh copy of windows. on ur PC.
and also notice that there is enough network singals in ur region minimum 3 bars for good speed……
It is also very cheap about rs 271 per month and unlimited downloading on 2g sim……
Now my comp is full of virus and due to this speed is very slow.
also i dont think that there is any antivirus to remove virus of computer..

this is not true,there r 2 types of datacard ,which provides speeds 3.6 n 7.2mbps.the max speed provided in india is 3.6mbps.
