Need a Doctor while staying in Assam? Call 104 and a doctor will attend your call instead of other medical staff. This new service will be launched by Assam Health Department in January 2010.
The service is inspired from previously launched 108 Ambulance service which have improved the rural health care facilities in Assam. Initially 100 doctors would be attending to the calls which may increase once service gets famous. Glad to see the Health efforts in Assam considering the country(India) spends less than 2% of its budget on health care compared to 40% spent by developed countries.
