    there is no rule to how to talk with customer.

    Subject: delayed clearance of out station cheques

    Sir,

    This is to bring to your notice that in quite a few cases I’ve experienced that all outstation cheques have been taking an unduly long time for clearance. In the most recent case, cheque No. 511047 dated 13th November 2009 drawn on SBI, Bailey Road, Patna for Rs 1,79,400/- was deposited in my account at Central Bank, Khan Market branch, New Delhi on 19th November 2009. However I find that it has not yet been credited into my account. In another three days it will be one full month.

    Towards the end of last week on enquiring from the Patna branch of SBI, it was learnt that the cheque had not yet been received by them for clearance.

    I am concerned at this inordinate delay. It has been occurring a bit too often. Last year an electronic transfer from Ministry of Culture took over 8 weeks for clearance and that too after several attempts of chasing/pursuing. Similar was the case with a Pune Cheque. There are several such instances.

    May I request you to kindly look into the whole issue and speed up the process of cheque clearance?

    i am permenet costumer of u r bank branch muktainagar dist jalaon ,state _maharastara . i have submitted all requirment document at bank but from 31 july my porposal of education loan could not done ,hence i am in truable ..and bank could not soulvin my problem. plz
