The plane has finally arrived though 3 years late. Boeing 737 dreamliner which can carry 250 passengers non—stop up to 16,000 km touched down at the IGI airport today in IGI Delhi. Air Japan is its first customer and Air India will be its first. Air India has ordered 27 planes and private low cost carrier Jet Airways has ordered 10. The plane was supposed to be start delivery sometime in 2008 but it will start the delivery only in the 4th quarter of this year. Air India would get its first—demo trials on the aircraft, which is claimed to be the most advanced in the world.
