7 TIME F1 CHAMPION SCHUMACHER AGREES WITH CALLING OF BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX

Mar 11, 2011 Posted Under: Sports
7 time F1 champion, Michael Schumacher says “Like many other Formula One colleagues I consider it a good decision to call off the competition in Bahrain. The people there have more pressing issues than Formula One, and those have priority,” Most people agree that the Gulf Kingdom has been in deep trouble and it is much more important to sought those issues first. As the situation is is getting worse it is safer and saner to avoid a race over there. This year’s race had been in doubt as thousands of anti-government protesters continued to gather in Manama’s Lulu Square demandin democracy, which has become the main focus of demonstrations in the country since February 14. At least four people have been killed in the protests and more lives are at stake. Let us all pray that troubles in the Gulf are over before any major damage to life and... Read More

MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI AT HIS STUBBORN BEST

I am a big fan of our Indian Captain. I think there is not a single weakness that can be associated with this man. Most players will get affected by huge success, but not this man. He married a simple girl, knows when to let the other person hog the limelight and to me he is perfect in every thing he does. Lets get back to the world cup. Every cricket lover, follower, commentator, columnist thought that Piyush Chawla did not deserve a second chance. He thought other way round. He gives every person ample chance before he writes them off, the biggest example being Dinesh Karthik. He was given so many chances but he failed in most occasions. Virat Kohli there was a time when he was not as successful as he is today, he had his bad days too, but today he is one of the better players in the Indian side probably he could be a legend in 10 years time. It does not mean that he is stubborn, it simply means he wants every player to perform and do well. That is the reason why we have such strong... Read More

AC MILAN MIDFIELDER BANNED FOR ASSAULTING TOTTENHAM COACH

Feb 22, 2011 Posted Under: Sports
AC Milan midfielder twice clashed with Tottenham coach Joe Jordan, both during the sides’ Champions League last-16 first leg at the San Siro on Tuesday – which Tottenham won 1-0 – and after it, when he headbutted the 59-year-old. Acorrding to an UEFA statement: “The control and disciplinary body ruled that Gattuso had assaulted the Tottenham Hotspur assistant coach Joe Jordan after the match. “Gattuso, who was also cautioned in the 76th minute of the game, is already suspended for the return leg of the UEFA Champions League tie against Tottenham after receiving three yellow cards. “Consequently, the four-match suspension applies to the next four UEFA club competition matches for which he would be eligible.” This can really hurt AC Milan as the ban means Gattuso, who has three days to appeal, would not be available until the final should Milan continue to... India post an 87 run win over the local side in their first world cup encounter

Sehwag was at his destructive best. He dispatched the ball at will to all parts of the ground, setting the base for a mammoth score of 370/4 . Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag opened the batting for India. It was a jam packed Mirpur stadium in Bangladesh, the hosts for the 2011 world cup, with over 50,000 in capacity. Our openers gave us a solid start , with both the batsmen middling the ball nicely. The start came to a disappointing end when Sachin got run out. This is because Sehwag did respond to the call and both the batsmen looking at the fielder and ending up with highest run getter getting out. But for our two time triple centurian, it was just the beginning of a huge knock. Next came in Gautam Gambhir who was there for a while and looked in good touch. But he too fell soon. Though he got the start but our Gautam failed to convert it anything substantial. Then came in Virat Kohli. Thats when the carnage really began to hurt Bangladesh even though bulk of the scoring was... Read More
