Best way to get indians to pay taxes is the Norwegian way

Many Indians pay no taxes (if they do then its hardly any). This applies to people who specially run their own businesses. They can show lots of their personal expenses as a loss on the business and can get away without paying personal taxes. There are other ways to evade taxes as well. I am not going to discuss on that.

Reason for this blog is to get goverment to think about how to get everyone to pay taxes honestly. Right now goverment is focusing more on numbers of citizens to pay taxes. The goverment should also focus on getting citizens to pay the taxes correctly and honestly.

Here is a way.

Transparency is  disinfectant when is comes to getting people to pay taxes. Norway uses such a disinfectant. It publishes publically  all to see the net worth, income and taxpaid of all taxpayers.

This way a neighbor or a family relative can check if a person driving a BMW or an AUDI is really paying taxes or not. This law can have some drawback but certainly can be used verywell to fix the system up.
